The flag of Belgium 
The flags of Germany and Belgium are similar; they share the same 3 colors: Black, Red, Yellow, which are not in the same order: The German flag has horizontal stripes and the Belgian flag has vertical stripes.

The treaty establishing the European Coal and Steel Community (ECSC) was signed in 1951, shortly after the Second
World War, notably by Belgium and the Federal Republic of Germany. Coal, a common point for these two countries, can be symbolized by the black color of the first stripe of both flags.
